The MBBA board members spent quite a bit of time researching different credit card processing companies to recommend for our association.
One of the candidates that we came across is Merchant Credit Card Solutions, Inc. doing business as Velocity Payment Systems. VPS is a local company based in Duluth, MN with several offices across the nation. Besides offering the best rates and service plan, we also came to realize that several of our members were already processing with this company. This information, coupled with the fact that VPS agreed to participate in our conferences led to an unanimous nomination from the MBBA board to endorse Velocity Payment Systems as the recommended credit card processing company for our association.
At our 2007 MBBA conference, I approached the table set up with VPS information, and saw one of our members was actually hugging Dave Allen, from Velocity Payment Systems! I have never known a merchant to have such a relationship with their credit card processor, and this only cemented my decision to apply for their services.
I immediately signed up with VPS, and since then have received service above and beyond my expectations, which were already high. I had immediate responses to questions, and my account and equipment were set up in a timely manner. Installing the terminal was fast and easy, and they stayed on the phone with me until I was comfortable.
Shortly afterward, they contacted me to let me know that my rates were a little higher than they should be due to using old methods of running transactions. They paid attention to my account, and called to give me direction on how I can run transactions in order to have better savings. I have never experienced this kind of attention paid to my account after signing on with a processing company.
I believe it is in your alls best interest to sign on, and strongly encourage you to do so.

VPS has been available for fast and courteous service each and every time I have needed them. I cannot afford to have my ATM, credit card terminal, or check imager down. VPS has always taken care of any problems I have had quickly, and they treat me well.

We have been using Velocity Payment Systems since April of 2003. We had previously been using a well known national bank for processing. Our reason for switching was primarily the lack of concern about our account by our previous processor. Our account wasn't of enough value to them. We gave VPS a try as they had a local office and maybe because they were not a part of a large bank, our business would be appreciated. This turned out to be true. Since we started working with them, we have had consistently good customer service. They respond to our requests and concerns. VPS has also worked with us to keep our costs down. We had our 25th anniversary rally event in August of 2008. Bob MacLean and Dave Allen went out of their way to help us setup temporary credit card accounts and provide us with terminals for the event.
